With the continuation of my musical journey, I have still not noticed many of the positive benefits of music playing that we have discussed in previous discussion threads such as decreasing stress, decreasing anxiety, and improved memory and reading skills. It is still early on in my musical journey though! Despite practicing for 10 mins each day I find that I do not have enough time to really focus on a lot of the skills I would like to work on. I also find it difficult to work on this alone because it would be nice to receive feedback. It was nice to be able to work in our instrument groups for a short period of time during our Friday zoom session but due to technical difficulties, it was a struggle to get the audio to work correctly.

During my last few practices, I have continued to work on tonguing and note memorization as I still struggle with those skills. To work on note memorization I have tried quizzing myself on the different notes using an online quiz ( https://www.musictheory.net/exercises/note). I found this website to be helpful as I could customize it and it worked well to practice recognizing the notes and where they are. Along with that as I recognized the note on the quiz I would then play the note on the recorder.

To further work on my skills I found a video of someone playing the same song that I am working on currently. I found this helpful because I could hear what the song should sound like and I worked on replicating this.
