Since I have been spending a lot of my free time doing yoga and meditation activities I felt the need to learn more about the history behind it. I learned interesting facts such as how yoga originated from Sanskrit many many years ago (https://www.yogajournal.com/yoga-101/the-roots-of-yoga). Through my brief research, I was able to gain more appreciation for the art of yoga because of its rich history.
Knowing what I do now, completing my yoga session was slightly more enjoyable and fun. I tried to focus on breathing and creating a fluid body movement when transitioning between different positions. After the session, I felt at peace and refreshed. Despite the chaos that is currently happening in the world, it is important to find time to relax and take care of your mental health.
