After working an eight-hour shift and then coming home to do homework, including a P.E. activity, I did not feel like doing a lot of physical activity so I decided to do a mediation video to help me relax and wind down for the day. I found it difficult to focus on the video because my mind was filled with thoughts of what school task I had to do next tonight. The video focused on the idea of focusing on absolutely nothing which I failed to do.
The video also highlights the notion of letting go, as someone who holds some resentment in their life and toxic energy, it was freeing to metaphorically let go of any negative energy and move forward with positivity.
The video touched on the importance of noticing ujjayi breath (ocean breath), which regulates body heat to calm the mind and warm the body similar to a massage for the internal organs.
